Earlier on this month, not one but two of the Carl Bird team took on two very different but equally challenging events!!
First up was, Stephen Buxton our contracts waste manager who cycled with his friend Maggie all the way from London to Paris. The pair put in an amazing amount training for many weeks in preparation for this huge undertaking and completed the challenge with massive smiles upon their faces. All of the money they have raised is being donated to Cancer Research UK.
Next up was our office manager Amii Andrews along with her mum Dianne Bird (Carl’s wife) who took on the fantastic Skyscrapper challenge in London. This involved climbing 1,092 stairs to the top as quickly as possible and abseiling down the Leadenhall building. Both Amii and Dianne completed the challenge in record time. Together they have raised money for the charity Tommys.
